Kaleidoscope
Salad Days (Are Here Again)
Good Captain Clack
Repent Walpurgis
A whiter shade of pale..
Is why I picked this band. I enjoyed hearing that song. It looks like this album had it on there for the US release but YouTube Music has the UK release so that is what I will be listening to.
Conquistador
Sounds very 60’s both the music composition and the overall style.
She Wandered Through the Garden Fence
Another song with an organ solo.
Something Followed Me
A bluesy song about being unable to escape one’s own mortality. A guitar solo this time.
Mabel
I am not studying the song meanings today, this is a fun jaunty tune that reminds me of early Pink Floyd.
Cerdes (Outside the Gates Of)
I really enjoy the way this song sounds. It seems a bit nonsensical in the lyrics, perhaps telling a tale of legends that don’t exist and hypothetical people. Sometimes words just should be next to one another.
A Christmas Camel
Another song I really like the way it sounds, just the composition is great.
Kaleidoscope
I think this fits into the category of words that sound good together. The lyrics somewhat sound like the narrator is seeking answers in reflections of reflections. The guitar solo is fun.
Salad Days (Are Here Again)
Another song that seems to be dancing with the idea of mortality.
Good Captain Clack
Another song that makes me think it could have been written by Syd Barrett.
Repent Walpurgis
An instrumental. Much less upbeat. I like the interplay of the organ and other keys. Almost verging on getting into prog rock territory. I was expecting more of this on the album.
This was weird
I was expecting a psychedelic album. This is a psychedelic album but not what I was expecting. It was an interesting listen and some time when I don’t have plans I may listen with greater intent. I did enjoy the experience and look forward to my next listen.
