This one was pushed at me both from whatever algorithms control the ads on my phone but also my dad send me info on this album. Prior to this listen I have listened to a bit of Charlie Crockett, a song here and there no deep dives. This album is full of the bluesy country music that I prefer. It’s not as psychedelic as Daniel Donato but is still far from pop country. The songs also appear to be very genuine. Crockett is singing about his journey to where he is now and the hardships he has experienced. He details not being taken seriously, playing shows in unfriendly environments, being kicked out of venues, just generally losing, busking to get by. Overall this was an enjoyable soundtrack to wake up to this morning.
