This was fun
I was recommended a cover of the first song on YouTube recently and I found it came from this. This isn’t my first experience with Indian music but it’s my first dive into Indian music theory, or classical Indian music.
The first ten tracks on this album were the ones that were released on the album. It’s almost like Indian jam band music. With the different songs being in different keys but all set up around the same structure. There are multiple synths one setting the beat and it seems to stay the same over the tracks. There is also a bass synth that has a repeated line for each song, the bass line does change for the key signatures. It’s quite neat to hear the changes in the interactions between the background set with synths and then the analog string instruments.
