Google decided I would like to see a story about this album

On my discover feed I had some article about the making of this album, I think for the 20 year anniversary or something. I realized that they might be a band I would like. When this album released I was listening to The Killers, Kings of Leon, and Franz Ferdinand.

Upon starting the album it instantly had “that” sound and yep it reminds me strongly of the music of that time. I honestly don’t know why I didn’t listen to this around the time of it’s release. Had I done that I think I would like it much more than I currently do.

The album sits between the country twang from Kings of Leon and the pop dance of The Killers. This was an interesting experience having nostalgia about music I am hearing for the first time. I am curious to the newer music that this band has released. I’ve listened to the newer releases from both Kings of Leon and The Killers and don’t mind the music. I suspect that if I listen to this discography I will probably enjoy.
