I saw this band name on Reddit, I looked them up and figured I would listen because the album cover was neat looking.
Bird on a Wire
Starts with a bass. Very spacey. Reminds me a lot of Psychedelic Porn Crumpets. I am intrigued.
Mercy
Heavy effects on the synths for the intro. A controlled chaos. I am not a huge fan of the mix. I often vary how I listen. Today I am listening via a google tablet and it’s home stand. There is a drone on this that probably sounds neat in person and that doesn’t come over well on consumer level gear.
Reptile
A punkier song.
Inbetween
Heavy on the drones. Very “experimental”. I am unlikely to listen to this again.
Destroya
Neat roll into this song. This is more songlike it appears. Interesting intro. I like this. I would guess this would have been planned as the single. They use so many effects and so much distortion. That solo at the end just…not what I expected…guess the Destroya got to it.
Turn Blue
Sometimes there is a fine line between music and noise. I think some folks may consider this the ladder. It does get more overtly musical.
Electric Eyes
This one is neat and actually has some areas where I would consider it “clean”
Head-Squeeze
I wish it were easier to understand the lyrics. Neat.
Mudd
The growl. I enjoyed this one too. That was a weird sax solo.
Thoughts
I’m interested in what this becomes. They do have a few more albums out. I think there were a couple before this too.
