This is a weird album
Not a bad thing just strange. I really liked Bastille Day and think that I’ve heard it before. I felt I think I’m Going Bald seems to be a sarcastic take on society’s obsession with vanity and youth. Lakeside park is a nostalgic look at a comfortable place.
Then to the meat of the album. The Necromancer and The Fountain Of Lamenth. These both tell stories and it’s 7 in the morning while I prepare for work. I will listen but will have to revisit later with more intent if I am to understand these.
Overall I like this album. It does seem like a odd mesh of songs but it’s the most “Rush” album as a whole that I’ve listened to in this run, which makes sense as the next album they release is 2112 which I believe was my introduction into the band.
