I feel like a wide net was cast with this album

Some music sounding like Zeppelin, some sounding like what I think of as “classic” Rush, and some having the shine from the late 90’s still on it. I was thinking back of the last several albums in the band and my appreciation of their music. I can’t say that that most the music since like Hold Your Fire is something I really enjoy. It’s good music. It’s just not something that I see myself wanting to come back too.

The more I listen to more I feel like Rush wrote really complex pop music. They didn’t “invent” new things. They take sounds common in pop music and use them to make complex compositions.
