Because I can’t get enough of Claudio Sanchez

This album is strange. It’s a hodgepodge of recordings. I don’t know if there was an attempt to master it as an album but here we are. It reminds me of some early folky psyche in how it’s recorded, if they had drum machines and microkorgs. There is some really interesting things on this album. I think a drum machine is used over the full course of the album. Other instruments change, sometimes what I think is a microkorg with a patch similar to the one used on Fireflies by Owl City. Yet other times the music is almost NIN driven.

I am listening to the album that was released in 2021 under the moniker “The Prize Fighter Inferno” and difference is stark. You can tell there was a lot of growth and experimentation. Again, heavy use of autotune and again lots of drum machines but perhaps eurorack(?).

Perhaps I will now binge Primus to further prep for the concert.
