I honestly don’t know where the recommendation came from.
This isn’t my normal type music. Its uninvolved with the band making smooth baking tracks for questions and ponderings of love and life. Smooth R&B and jazz is the only way I think I could describe the majority of this album. Songs of note I noticed were “Like a Tattoo” This is a tale of a soldier who is haunted by his actions in war. “Pearls” tells of the life of a woman struggling in Somalia, her trials and how foreign her experience is compared to the comfort the western world has. “Mermaids” is a great ending to the album. This was an enjoyable experience but I will likely not further explore this band.
