ELO sounds happy
That’s what I remembered prior to listening to this album. Upon completion of my listen I was not entirely wrong but also this isn’t quite what was expected. I picked this album because it was the first ELO album I looked at without Mr. Blue Sky. I had heard Evil Woman and Strange Magic before. The first couple of songs reminded me more of Queen than ELO. I also felt like Down Home Town seemed a bit Zappa inspired. I also felt like I heard some Beatles influence in the album. Overall, I liked the album but didn’t listen as intently as I have others.
