I will pick up from where I stopped yesterday
Album #2 in Donato’s catalog. Looks like a more punctual set than what I listened to yesterday with all but one song being 4 mins or less.
Why You Been Gone So Long
More like pop country than the selections from yesterday. Still have guitar solos. The song isn’t overly expressive lyrically, seems to be the narrator questioning his partner after an absence.
Waymore’s Blues
A floaty blues song
Fox on the Run
A song about a relationship that the narrator puts forth a lot of effort for but ultimately it falls apart as he was being played.
Fourteen Carat Mind
The narrator sings about a woman whom he courted. She was shallow and materialistic. Ultimately it didn’t work out and she moved on. The narrator ponders if the man she moved on to has had greater success in his relationship.
Sad Songs and Waltzes
So a Willie Nelson cover about being cheated on.
Darlin’ Cory
So it looks like this is a covers album. It took me 75% of the album to realize that.

An optimist ending of the album.
Well…
I think I preferred the first album to this one. This was surely more “traditional” country and western, it still had some of the psychedelic elements that I enjoy. Still excited to listen to his most recent release tomorrow. I also want to find some live tracks.
