I haven’t listened yet but I did search
Because I wasn’t sure if this was legit or some AI thing. From what I can tell it looks like this could be real, if not it’s a shorter album so not too much of a waste of time. I did notice that most listings have this album starting with Are you Experienced and ending with Expo In Sound but the playlist on YouTube has the sides of the album inverted so I am going with that. This won’t be a comprehensive review as I’ve consumed a lot of music in the last few days. More on that later.
What’s Your Bag
Well this was a generic psychedelic groove I would associate with the 60’s. Not bad at all but also not really anything amazing.
Free Forming
I am expecting sounds that may or may not go well together. I’ve heard more disjointed songs but not likely to get a repeat from me.
The Stinger
Almost sounds like rockabilly. No lyrics to this point.
The Strut
This is interesting. Bluesy.
Expo In Sound
I would believe this would make sense as the last song on the album. I think the person who made the playlist inverted the sides A and B of the vinyl.
Are You Experienced
I think this is supposed to be a Hendrix cover. It’s also the first song I’ve heard today with lyrics.
As I Grow Into A Man
This side of the album is much different than the first. More pop sounding, less organ solos, and singing. I would rather listen to Strawberry Alarm Clock for the vibes.
Red Eyes
This is more like the first half I listened to. Honestly, I like it better than the songs with lyrics.
The Letter
Another psyche jam
Take It Easy
Not a bad song to end with, even if it’s supposed to be the end of the first half.
After thoughts
I am not upset that there isn’t more to explore. It wasn’t bad but not anything special, I understand why it faded into obscurity.
